isnt the HMG already of minmatar design(boundless creations)
though the right hand suit does not appear to be the standard minmatar medium frame, note the right knee(left hand side when viewed) appears to be different from the standing medium frame holding the rifle.
pure speculation, but perhaps thats not a medium frame at all, making it capable of wielding an HMG |

touche salesman, but at the same time, would they do a complete reconfig of every suit for every environment? theres 8 planet types, of which at least 3 of them should probably have unique environmental variations, oceanic, ice/lava, storm/plasma, planet types i could see managing without the new variations being temperate, barren, and gas(as far as im aware the installations in PI are placed above the cloud cover, or so its made to appear, would they require their own suits?)
*edit* not to mention why would you bring a special snowflake suit when it is apparently unnecessary judging from the other 2-4 'standard model' suits |

Minmatar weapons: SMG, HMG, mass driver, flaylock pistol, combat rifle (soon). It is indeed medium frame on the right, you can tell by the helmet. That weapon he is holding might be based off the HMG, but definitely isn't a heavy weapon judging by the size.
*DERP* blankpost was blank... sorry
which i find funny that the HMG is of minmatar origin and ONLY the amarr can actually use it... same with the forge guns of caldari design... |

*edit* though does explain the currently useless bonus on the sentinel suit since none of the other racial weapons have feedback but the light amarr models(laser and scrambler*), i expect to see some heavy weapons with feedback potential "SOON tm"
Except most people believe the Sentinel bonus is +2% heavy weapon reload speed and the Amarr racial bonus is 5% reduction to weapon feedback damage. In fact, it is the other way around. So even the Minmatar Sentinel will get this 5% reduction to weapon feedback damage though the only heavy weapons that have feedback damage will likely be Amarrian. Explain that one CCP.
good call on that one, i never bothered looking at the sentinel skill, just remember my heavy-bros askin me about 'wtf is feedback?'
perhaps the bonuses were swapped? the assaults got 5% recharge, 2% reload, ... nope... only caldari got a 2% bonus for racial specific there, i gots nothing... thank god i checked the other races before i made a complete ass of myself
though if i might have been correct about the sentinel bonus reversal, whats the point in giving ALL races an equal reload bonus, and why do amarr get the reload speed bonus? i would have thought theyd be tanky-er or buffed armor... but then again none of the amarr suits make sense to me...(even shield/armor, repair bonus for the logistics... wtf?) |

i doubt theyre going to put t3s into dust at this early of a stage... not to mention they didnt really do t2 even... theyve done some bastardized variation to it, not having a t1 logistics... having meta modules as a significant increase and market available instead of a salvaged loot only(consider that one when you have to farm out your geks/GLU)
im just saying, i dont anticipate them ever releasing a t3 weapon, and what would you even conceivably do with it? add a handgrip for an increase to pg? a scope for CPU? i would expect to see a t3 suit sooner than a t3 weapon system though, and it would be extremely questionable at best on how it would even function... if at all... the technical workings behind it would be massive i believe, not to mention without any sort of player industry... or wormhole equivalent(t3 is based on 'alien' tech from outside the 5 empires, allies, and pirate branches)... or no t1 production/resource collection...
i expect that there will be a LOT of work creating a foundation that would support any justification of a concept of t3
*EDIT* and i did mean 5 empires b4 someone blows me up about the 4 playables... the lore states that the Jove are considered a lose part of the empire though nobody ever really mentions it |

well balancing the values of x (attribute) equates to y (fitting cost) is going to be about the only way of doing it...
if its based on the simple attributes of the weapon rather than the fitting cost, its going to become whatever OP Flavor of the month...
and i thought the concept of tech level 3 is that its beyond the empires tech... not that its simply modular, but that its reverse engineered from 'alien' tech... because as things stand, everything is currently modular, t3s are just 1 extra step... and they 'should' be able to replicate that for any other purpose if that was the simple requisite... but would defeat the purpose of 'risking' wormholes to produce... i would be greatly depressed if they slapped t3 on a weapon without a good backstory just because its EXTRA customizable... |

and most weapon designs throw the casings AWAY from the shooter... unless your using a weapon designed for left handed operation.... which i would hope after the centuries of back story, they would have learned common sense design features... except for the amarr with their feedback it seems... |
